Kyle Lehnert joined the Yale Athletics staff in July of 2026. He serves as the Director of Annual Giving, overseeing annual fundraising initiatives, campaign strategy and donor stewardship to support Yale’s 35 varsity athletic programs and student-athletes.
Prior to joining Yale Athletics, Lehnert spent two years working for Playfly Aspire as a sales and service consultant. His work experience also includes an internship with Mountaineer Athletic Club in West Virginia.
A former NCAA Division I student-athlete, Lehnert was a defender for the West Virginia men's soccer program. He was recognized as a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selection and earned Academic All-Big 12 and Academic All-MAC honors.
Lehnert earned his bachelor's degree in sports psychology from West Virginia in 2023, then went on to earn his master’s degree in sport and fitness administration/management in 2024. He is a native of Charlottesville, Va.
