Kyle Wallack is the Yale assistant coach logging the most milesrecruiting Bulldogs. He has worked with five teams (threeschools) that have appeared in the NCAA Tournament, while hismost recent recruiting efforts helped the Elis lead the nation inscoring in 2009-10 and 2010-11.
Wallack came to Yale in June of 2006 after working at Holy Cross(recruiting coordinator, forwards) for two seasons. He helped theCrusaders register a 4-3 OT upset of Minnesota at the 2006 NCAAWest Regional that capped a 27-10-3 campaign.
Before Holy Cross, Wallack spent two (2002-04) seasons with thesame role at UConn while also mentoring the goalies.
Wallack's goaltending protégés include AtlanticHockey Goalie of the Year Tony Quesada (Holy Cross, MinnesotaWild), UConn's Scott Tomes (Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie Team),Quinnipiac's Jamie Holden (Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Year) andYale's Alec Richards (Chicago Blackhawks). He also supervisedQuinnipiac's Justin Eddy (Washington Capitals). Wallack was anassistant at Quinnipiac for three (1999-02) seasons, where hehelped the Bobcats to a MAAC Championship and an NCAA Tournamentappearance.
His first coaching jobs were at Nichols College (1998-99) andthe University of Delaware (1997-98).
Wallack also has experience coaching with the U.S. NationalProgram. He earned a gold medal at the 2006 Three NationsTournament in Rochester, while getting a silver at the 2007 FiveNations Tournament in Strakonice, Czech Republic. He has alsocoached at the Select 16 Festival.
A four-year starting goaltender and senior captain atSpringfield College, Wallack was team MVP, All-NECHA (1995-97),Johnson and Wales All-Tournament (1996-97) and NECHA All-Tournament(1995-96). Wallack, while playing at Springfield, coached the NewEngland Junior "A" Falcons to an EJHL Championship.
Wallack earned a master's degree in sport management fromConnecticut in 2004.
