Leroy Baker III, who spent five years managing facilities and events at the University of Delaware, joined the Yale Athletics family in October of 2021 as an Assistant AD, Event Management. Baker serves as the sport administrator for lightweight crew.

Baker started at Delaware in 2016 as Events and Facilities Manager before being promoted to Assistant AD, Events and Facilities in 2019. His responsibilities included managing the daily operations of all facilities, overseeing facility budgets and managing all event parking for the athletic department. In addition, he is the sport supervisor for lightweight crew and track and field.Â

Prior to Delaware, Baker served as an Events Operations Assistant at the University of Texas, where he assisted in the game management of several varsity sports.

During his career, Baker has worked several postseason events, including the 2016 NCAA Women’ Basketball Tournament first and second rounds, the 2016 Big 12 Swimming & Diving Championships and the 2019 CAA Women’s Soccer Quarterfinal and Semifinal.

Baker is a 2015 graduate of Temple where he earned a bachelor of science in Sport and Recreation Management: Governance and Policy.
