Lindsay Iordache

Lindsay Iordache, a seven-time All-America diver at Indiana, was named Yale’s diving coach in June of 2019.
 
 
Iordache made an immediate impact in her first season, mentoring men’s diver Christian DeVol, who qualified for the NCAA Championship. DeVol was the Ivy League champion in both the 1 and 3-meter diving events and was the recipient of the Karl B. Michael High Point Diver of the Meet Award.
 
Iordache also guided women’s diver Nikki Watters, who finished second off the 3-meter board at the Ivy League Championship.
 
In 2025, Paige Lai and Lily Horenkamp punched their tickets to the NCAA Championship, marking Lai’s third trip to the national stage and Horenkamp’s first. Lai competed in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, while Horenkamp participated in the 1-meter.

In 2023 and 2024, Yale had divers at both the NCAA men's and women's NCAA Championship - Lai and Jean Paul Ditto.
 
Prior to Yale, Iordache spent nine years as the Co-Head Diving Coach of the Marlins Diving Club at the YMCA of Greenwich, Conn., where she mentored several national champions and finalists, a Junior World Championship qualifier, Pan Am gold and silver medalists and an Olympic Trials competitor.
 
Iordache also served as the diving coach at Greenwich Academy, where she has guided two divers to first place at the New England Championships. In addition, she was the diving coach at Saint Francis College for two seasons and an intern/student coach at Indiana.
 
As an undergraduate at IU, Iordache was the 2007 NCAA platform runner up after finishing third in 2006 and fourth in 2004. She served as the team co-captain as a senior and led the Hoosiers to victory at the Big Ten championship.
 
She also was a USA National Team member in 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2008. and Olympic Trials finalist in 2004 & 2008.
