Michael LaRocca joined the Yale Athletic Department as a Strategic Communications Assistant in September 2024 before transitioning into his role as Strategic Communications Fellow in August 2025.Â
LaRocca comes to Yale after earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from Quinnipiac University in 2024 and 2025, respectively. At Quinnipiac, LaRocca served three years as a member of The Quinnipiac Chronicle newspaper editorial staff, working as the publication's Opinion Editor and leading the volleyball beat team, ultimately earning two first-place awards from the New England Newspaper & Press Association.Â
Originally from Belford, New Jersey, LaRocca now resides in Hamden, Connecticut.
