Yale

Oksana Samorodova joined the Yale fencing staff in February 2026 as an assistant coach. In this role, she will primarily coach the epee squad and assist with team travel and logistics.

Prior to Yale, Samorodova was an epee coach at the Alamo Fencing Academy from 2012–25. She attended Penn State University from 2011–12, earning All-American laurels in epee during her time as a Nittany Lion. She graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in sports management.

Originally from Russia, Samorodova grew up in Texas fencing under the guidance of her father while competing at the domestic and international levels. In her free time, Samorodova loves to spend time with her family and dog.
