Susan Haase joined Yale Athletics in 2017 as a Senior Administrative Assistant and was promoted to Program Coordinator, Development in August 2024. She is responsible for providing high-level data management, research, administrative, and communications support for the Athletic Development team as well as assisting with the development of solicitation and cultivation strategies for donors, overseeing the preparation and production of communications, coordinating special events, and designing, developing, and producing ad hoc reports and other sources to support fundraising initiatives.

She also serves as a liaison between the Central Development Office and Athletic Department, coordinates Alumni Office procedures, and helps coordinate special events including dinners, receptions, alumni games, golf outings, and oversees various sport association’s hospitality suites during contests.

Prior to coming to Yale, Haase served as the Assistant to the Provost at Naugatuck Valley Community College, where she was responsible for budget management, overseeing State of Connecticut capital bond project purchases amongst all college departments, clinical contract procurement, and generating financial data reports for the Office of the Provost. She also was a member of the BEAR Emergency Response Team.

A 1992 graduate of University of New Haven, Haase received her B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in organizational psychology. With a minor in marketing, she was nominated for Marketing Student of the Year. A lifelong Connecticut resident, Haase has been a Bulldog fan all her life.  She is an active supporter of several dog rescue organizations including the Long Island Bulldog Rescue and rides annually in the Yale Smilow Cancer Center’s Closer to Free bike ride as a member of Team Steve, which raises money for cancer research and patient care in honor of her brother, Stephen, and father, Gordon.
