NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The women's golf team will travel to
Boston this weekend to tee off at the Harvard Invitational, held at
the International Club in Boston, Mass. The tournament is the
second-to-last fall competition for the Bulldogs, who have already
taken first place finishes at both the Princeton Invitational and
the Yale Women's Intercollegiate.
The most recent action for Yale came on Oct. 2 and 3, when the
squad competed at the Nittany Lion Invitational – a highly
competitive tournament in State College, PA, in which the Bulldogs
took sixth overall. After winning her first two collegiate
individual titles, freshman Seo Hee Moon was
tested against a new level of competition, and rose to the
occasion, finishing third overall – just two strokes out of
first.
Also posting low scores last weekend were senior Harriet
Owers-Bradley and sophomore Alex Lipa,
who tied for 28th. Captain Alyssa
Roland and sophomore Joy Kim were just
three strokes off their pace, tied for 37th, and junior
Callie Kemmer posted a strong Sunday round of 78
to finish at 55th overall.
The Bulldogs will play rounds of 18 holes on both Saturday and
Sunday before heading to the Sacred Heart Invitational next weekend
for their final tournament of the fall.
