NEW HAVEN, Conn. - No. 74 Binghamton
defeated Yale 5-2 Sunday at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center.
The loss dropped Yale's record to 11-6 on the season.
The Bulldogs won matches at No. 2 and No. 3 singles in the loss.
Playing No. 2 singles, freshman John Huang pulled out a 7-6,
6-3 victory over Moshe Levy. Junior Calvin Bennett rolled to
a 6-4, 6-3 win over Gilbert Wong at No. 3 singles.
Yale also picked up a victory at No. 2 doubles. The duo of
Bennett and freshman Marc Powers won 8-4 over Alexandre Haggai and
Moshe Levy.
The match marked Yale's last non-Ivy match of the season.
The Bulldogs will become conference play next weekend when
they travel to take on Princeton and Penn.
