NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's soccer team begins the 2014 season by hosting local rival Quinnipiac on Friday night. Kickoff at Reese Stadium is slated for 7:30 p.m., following the Yale-Sacred Heart men's game.
Video of the game will be available on the Ivy League Digital Network. It will be part of a free opening weekend for the network, which begins its second year. There also will be live stats.

Her 11 goals tied for the eighth most in a season in school history, while her 26 points tied for the sixth most. She has scored 20 goals during her time at Yale.
• Head coach Rudy Meredith has been stressing the importance of beginning games strong in the preseason. The Bulldogs were outscored 15-5 in the first half of games last year.

• The Bobcats (0-3) are already playing their fourth game of the season.
