Box Score Five Bulldogs Playing Overseas
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Anthony Dallier '17 is the latest Bulldog to join the professional basketball ranks. Dallier recently signed with the Nuernberg Falcons BC in the German A League. He has played in one game, grabbing four rebounds and adding two assists in 24 minutes.
Dallier enjoyed an outstanding career at Yale where he played in 111 games, scored 527 points, grabbed 287 rebounds and handed out 198 assists. Last year as a senior, he started 28 games, led the team with 115 assists and finished third in the Ivy League in assists (4.1 per game), fifth in minutes played (32.2 per game) and sixth in assist/turnover ratio (1.6). In his junior season, he started the final 10 games of the season, including the NCAA Tournament victory over Baylor, and scored in double figures six times.
Dallier, the 2016-17 team captain, is one of five former Bulldogs playing professionally. In fact, he will face one of his former teammates in Armani Cotton '15 when Nuernberg plays Paderborn on Jan. 8. Cotton, who is in his second season as a professional, has played in 14 games for Paderborn and is averaging 17.5 minutes per game.
Justin Sears '16 also is playing in Germany but in a different league (the BBL). Sears is with Ludwigsburg and he has helped the team to a strong start. In 15 games, Sears is averaging 6.1 points and 4.5 rebounds.
Brandon Sherrod '16 is back in Italy, starring for Givova Scafati. In 11 games, Sherrod is averaging 17.4 points and 11.0 rebounds.
The elder statesmen of Yale's professionals is Greg Mangano '12. Mangano recently signed with Kauhajoki in Finland. In five games, he is averaging 12.0 points and 8.6 rebounds.
