NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's soccer team will be in the national spotlight when Cornell visits Reese Stadium on Friday. ESPNU will televise the game live starting at 5 p.m. Jon Yardley (play-by-play) and Devon Kerr (analyst) will be on the call.
Here are notes on a key Ivy League matchup.
* The Bulldogs (8-0-2, 2-0 Ivy) stretched their winning streak to eight with a 1-0 overtime victory at UMass on Tuesday.
Miguel Yuste scored the winning goal in the 98

* The eight-game winning streak is the longest in a single season for Yale since the 1935-36 team finished 12-0 and won New England and Intercollegiate championships.
* The Bulldogs are undefeated through 10 games for the first time since 1952. The 1952 squad finished 8-1-2 overall, suffering its only loss in the season finale.
* Yale appears in a pair of national polls this week, sitting at No. 23 in the College Soccer News top 30 and No. 24 in the United Soccer Coaches top 25.
* The Bulldogs are seeking their first 3-0 Ivy League start since the 1991 team won its first four leagues games on its way to a 5-0-2 Ivy finish.

Mark Winhoffer leads the Ivy League with nine assists, which is tied for the fourth most in a single season in Yale history. Craig Yacks is the single-season leader with 12 assists in 1997. Winhoffer is second in the nation in assists per game (0.80) and fourth in total assists (9). He was named the Ivy League Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday after scoring and adding one assist in last Saturday's 3-1 win over Dartmouth.

Elian Haddock is ninth in the nation in goals against average (0.58) and 13th in save percentage (.829).
* Yale is ninth in the nation in goals against average (0.57) and 12th in scoring offense (2.30 goals per game).
* Through games of Wednesday night, the Bulldogs are one of seven teams in NCAA Division I soccer without a loss, joining Missouri State (11-0), Navy (11-0-1), Virginia (11-0-1), SMU (10-0-1), New Hampshire (9-0-2) and Florida International (9-0-3).
* Yale is 5-0 at Reese Stadium this season, outscoring its opponents 12-2.
HISTORY LESSONS
The Bulldogs have won three straight games over the Big Red, including a 2-1 overtime victory in Ithaca last year.

The Big Red (7-3, 1-1 Ivy) is coming off a 6-0 victory over Harvard last week and has won two straight. Cornell ranks No. 7 nationally in shots per game with 17.10 and is ranked No. 10 in shots on goal with 7.10 per game. Harry Fuller leads the team in points (10) and goals (4). The Big Red has had 11 different players score at least one goal.
