NEW HAVEN, Conn. –
Miguel Yuste has scored a number of big goals this season, including two last week. The first was the overtime game-winner in Yale's 1-0 victory at UMass, and he followed that by scoring a key goal late in a 3-1 win over Cornell. Those two performances helped him earn Ivy League Player of the Week honors.
Yuste leads the league with seven goals and three have been game winners.
Yuste becomes the third Bulldog to receive a weekly honor from the league this fall.
Mark Winhoffer is a two-time Player of the Week winner, including last week.
Sigfus Arnason was selected as the Rookie of the Week on Oct. 7.
Arnason was named to the league's honor roll this week as well.
The Bulldogs, who moved up two spots to No. 21 in this week's
College Soccer News national top 30 poll, take a nine-game winning streak into Monday night's game at
defending national champion Maryland. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
