WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Yale women's tennis wrapped up its stellar ITA Northeast Regional with top four finishes in both singles and doubles.
Caroline Dunleavy, in her first of two matches on the day, fell to Zoe Howard of Princeton 6-0, 7-6 to end her tournament with a semifinal finish. Right after the loss, she jumped back on court for the doubles final, which she played with Rhea Shrivastava. In a thriller of a match, the Bulldogs got out to a 6-1 lead before Penn's Marija Curnic and Iuliia Bryzgalova leveled it with a 6-1 second set win of their own. From there, Penn won a back and forth super tiebreak 13-11 to take home the doubles title.
This tournament concluded a stellar two weeks for the Bulldogs. On the national and regional level, the team experienced immense success in singles and doubles. With one more tournament before the conclusion of the fall season, the team has set themselves up for an excellent year.
