Yale In Third Place After Day 2 Of Ohio State Invitational

Trail Only Notre Dame And Ohio State

The Yale men's swimming and diving team continued its strong showing at the Ohio State Invitational. The Bulldogs finished the day in third place with 1,437.50 points, trailing only Notre Dame and Ohio State.
 
The 100-yard backstroke was where the Bulldogs shined, with first year Greg Kalin and junior Tyler Harmon placing 11th and 12th respectively.
 
In the 800-yard relay, the team of senior Henry Gaissert, sophomore Liam Bogart, junior Patrick Frith, and first year Joseph Page finished fourth with a time of 6:31.48. Sophomore Calvin Yang finished 10th in the 100-yard breaststroke with a 55.82 time.
 
The diving team saw success on Day 2. First year J.P. Ditto and junior Christian DeVol took 10th and 11th with scores of 286 and 278.85 respectively in the 3-meter dive.
 
The competition continues tomorrow with another full slate of events.
