The Yale women's swimming and diving team completed its second day at the Ohio State Invitational on Friday. The team currently sits in sixth place with 750 points.

Yale placed in the top half of the 800-yard freestyle relay, finishing fourth overall. The team consisted of a senior and three sophomores:
Lili Margitai,
Ashley Loomis,
Raime Jones, and
Izzi Henig.Â

In the individual events, Jones (1:49.46) and Loomis (1:49.50) finished 14th and 15th, respectively, in the 200-yard freestyle. Fellow sophomore
Marlise Moesch led the way for the Bulldogs in the event, placing eighth overall (1:49.95). Junior
Claire O'Mara added points for the Bulldogs in the B heat, finishing 19th with a time of 1:51.35.

Henig also finished in 12th place in the 100-yard butterfly (53.81). She touched just a hundredth of a second behind junior
Caitlin Tycz, who finished 11th (53.80).

The seniors led the way for the Bulldogs in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Cha O'Leary (1:02.36) and
Ashley Pales (1:03.34) placed 15th and 18th, respectively, in the event. Sophomore
MaryKate Buckley rounded out the B heat, finishing 20th with a time of 1:04.55.

In the only other individual event of the day, Yale had two swimmers finish in the top 20 in the 400-yard individual medley. Sophomore
Olivia Paoletti placed 15th (4:21.01), and senior
Bebe Thompson finished 18th (4:23.03).

The Ohio State Invitational will conclude on Saturday. Competition begins at 10:00 a.m.
