Olivia Levieux two minutes into the second half pulled the Yale field hockey team within one of No. 16 Liberty, 3-2, Saturday afternoon. But with the Bulldogs threatening the upset, the Flames held Yale scoreless the rest of the way and added an insurance goal for a 4-2 win at Liberty Field Hockey Field.
Yale (1-2, 0-0 Ivy League) fell behind 2-0 in the first 14 minutes, but cut the deficit in half when junior forward

Liberty (4-0, 0-0 Big East) answered less than 40 seconds later, as midfielder Lizzie Hamlett tipped one in during a penalty corner.

Sydney Terroso made nine saves in the first half and 12 for the game. After Levieux's goal early in the third -- assisted by Davies and junior midfielder
Sarah King -- however, the Bulldogs were held scoreless the rest of the way. Liberty goalie Allison Schaeffer finished with three saves, helping Liberty head coach and former Yale assistant coach Nikki Parsley-Blocker earn her 25th career win.
