NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Coming off a thrilling double overtime win at Northeastern on Thursday, the Yale women's soccer team returns to the friendly confines of Reese Stadium on Sunday to host Central Connecticut. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m. and it is Yale's Play with Pride LGBTQ Awareness game. ESPN+ has the video.

Molly Chamberlain will be a part of the evening's honorary coin toss. The day will include free Ben and Jerry's ice cream, flags, stickers, and t-shirts while supplies last. The team will be wearing rainbow laces for the game in addition to pride warm-up shirts during pregame.

Lydia Shaw was the hero in Thursday impressive win at Northeastern. Her goal with 5:19 left in the second overtime period was the game-winner. The Huskies had been unbeaten at home this season and had a 4-1 victory over Harvard on their resume.

Ellery Winkler leads the team with 12 points (4 goals, 4 assists). Her terrific long pass sprung Shaw for Thursday's winning goal.

HISTORY LESSONS
Yale leads the all-time series with CCSU 14-3, but the Blue Devils have won the last three, including a 2-0 victory last year in New Britain.
SCOUTING CENTRAL CONNECTICUT
The Blue Devils (2-2-3) opened Northeast Conference play on Friday at Bryant. Central Connecticut was selected as the favorite in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll as announced by the league office in August. CCSU went undefeated in conference play and finished the 2018 season with an impressive 16-2-2 record, winning its ninth NEC Championship in program history. The Blue Devils lost to Georgetown in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
