NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's tennis team made a big statement in its spring opener. The Bulldogs knocked off Boston College 5-2 at the Cullman Heyman Tennis Center.
The match began with Yale capturing the double point. The Bulldogs' duos of
Dylan King and
Michael Sun and
Arnav Dhingra and
Andrew Heller were victorious. Dhingra and Heller earned a hard-fought 6-4 win.
In singles, King cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 victory in the No. 1 position. Sun had to work harder at No. 2. After dropping the first set, he rallied to win the final two. Heller and
Robert Shymansky also earned singles victories for Yale.
The Bulldogs host Boston University on Sunday at 1 p.m.
