Yale (1-0, 0-0 Ivy League) is coming off season-opening 16-12 win vs. La Salle at Reese Stadium. The Bulldogs opened with a 5-0 run that included three goals by junior midfielder
Olivia Markert (Centreville, Va.), who went on to finish with five goals. The Bulldogs also benefited from five draw control wins -- by three different first-year players, midfielder

Ana Dieroff (Fayetteville, N.Y.) had an eight-point debut for the Bulldogs. That was the most points by a Yale rookie since sophomore
Olivia Penoyer (Manlius, N.Y.) had eight points vs. Columbia last season. That also marked the fourth time since the start of last season that a Yale first year has scored at least seven points in a game. Here is the complete list:

Ten of Yale's last 12 wins have come at Reese Stadium, starting with a 14-9 win vs. UMass Feb. 24, 2018. The Bulldogs are 41-26 (.612) at home since the start of the 2012 season.
Just the Way We Drew It Up
Yale had a 19-10 advantage in draw controls Saturday. That marked the fifth time since the start of the 2019 season that the Bulldogs have had that many draws in a game. Last year's single-game high in draws was 22, and the Bulldogs finished with a school-record 243 draws for the season.
Scouting Albany
Albany (0-1, 0-0 America East) fell to No. 7 Syracuse 15-3 in the season opener. The Great Danes and the Bulldogs have engaged in some memorable battles recently, with each game the last three years decided by two goals.
