NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale Men's Tennis team was defeated by Minnesota this Sunday at home by a 7-0 margin. The Bulldogs will continue their spring season next weekend at the ECAC Tournament at Cornell.

Minnesota broke away from the Elis early in doubles play, earning a 6-0 victory on court 1 and holding on to their lead on court 2 to take the doubles point.

In singles, the Bulldogs fought neck-and-neck with their opponents but came up short in 5 of 6 first sets. Senior captain
Dylan King took the first set 7-5 at the No. 1 singles spot but was bested 10-5 in the third-set tiebreaker. Sophomore
Michael Sun valiantly fought back at the No. 2 singles spot after losing the first set, winning the second set 7-6 but likewise falling in the third-set tiebreaker. Junior
Cody Lin similarly bounced back to steal the second set after losing the first, but would also come up just short 11-9 in the third-set tiebreaker. First-year
Louis Siegler took court at the No. 6 position, marking his first spring dual match as a Bulldog.
