NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's tennis got singles victories from
Michael Sun and
Robert Shymansky but dropped a close 4-2 decision to Western Michigan at the Cullman Heyman Tennis Center.
Sun cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 victory at the No. 2 position, while Shymansky won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4.
Cody Lin was in a tight match at No. 3 but the match was not finished.
In doubles, the tandem of
Andrew Heller and
Dylan King won 6-4 at No. 2.
The Bulldogs are back in action with a pair of matches next Saturday. Yale faces NJIT at noon and Fairfield at 4 p.m.
