JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Bulldogs dropped an 8-3 decision at Jacksonville University on Wednesday night.
Teddy Hague led Yale with three hits, while
Dai Dai Otaka and
Alex Stiegler both had two hits in a game the Bulldogs broke open the scoring with two runs in the third and another in the fourth.
In the third, Otaka singled to start the inning.
AJ Gaich followed with a walk.
Otaka advanced on a wild pitch and later in the inning Gaich stole second.
Mason LaPlante walked to load the bases and
Carson Swank drove in Otaka with a single through the left side. Hague followed with a single to score Gaich.
Gaich started a two-out rally with a single to right in the fourth.
Cal Christofori singled and LaPlante doubled to left to score Gaich in the fourth.
Jacksonville countered with runs in four straight innings including a four-run seventh.
Yale left the bases loaded in the sixth as Stiegler and Otaka produced back-to-back singles to begin the inning, and later in the frame LaPlante drew a two-out walk.

Justin Ager started and pitched three scoreless innings, one of eight Bulldogs to take the mound. Seniors
Thomas Espig,
Bobby Cecere,
Tyler Sapsford and Steigler also all pitched tonight.
Tonight marked the final game of the season. Earlier today, Ivy League Presidents announced their unanimous decision to
cancel all spring athletics practice and competition through the remainder of the academic year.
