NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Yale clinched its spot in the Ivy League Tournament, presented by TIAA, with last weekend's sweep of Penn and Princeton. The Bulldogs, though, still have plenty to play for as they prepare for the final weekend of the regular season. Yale travels to Dartmouth on Friday and then has a Saturday night date with Harvard in Cambridge. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. on both nights. ESPN+ has video each night.
Â
The Bulldogs (22-6, 10-2 Ivy) sit alone atop the Ivy standings and can clinch at least a share of the regular season title with a victory at Dartmouth on Friday. A win over the Big Green coupled with a Harvard loss to Brown would wrap up an outright title and the No. 1 seed in the Ivy Tournament, which the Bulldogs also can earn with a weekend sweep. IvyMadness is set for Mar. 14-15 at Harvard.
Â
Yale, which has won four straight games, is seeking its second straight regular season title and its fourth in the last six years. The Bulldogs have already matched last year's overall win total, and with a pair of victories this weekend would have the most overall wins since the 1906-07 team finished 30-7-1.
Â
Yale has reached at least 20 overall wins for the fourth time in the last six years. In the 119 seasons of Yale Basketball prior to 2014-15, the Bulldogs only won 20 or more games in a season five times – 1904-05 (22), 1906-07 (30), 1907-08 (20), 1948-49 (22) and 2001-02 (21). Yale also has now won at least 10 Ivy games in four of the last six years.
Â
The Bulldogs finished 10-1 in the friendly confines of the John J. Lee Amphitheater but have also enjoyed great success away from home. Yale's 10 road victories are tied for the third most in Division I, and the Bulldogs are one of only nine teams with at least 12 wins away from home.
Â
Yale's six losses have come to teams that have a combined 103-69 (.599) overall record. The Bulldogs were tied or had the lead in the second half in five of their six losses. The only time they didn't was the one-point loss to Harvard.
Â
In games through, Mar. 3, Yale is No. 65 in the NET Rating, No. 57 in KenPom and No. 53 in the BPI. In addition, the Bulldogs received votes in this week's national coaches' poll and have now received votes in the writer's and/or coaches' national polls in eight of 18 weeks this season. Yale also is No. 4 in the College Insider Mid Major poll and No. 12 in the Mid-Major Madness top-25 ranking.
Â
It could be a record-breaking weekend for the Bulldogs as well. Yale has made 249 three-pointers on the season and needs just four more to break the mark of 252 set by the 2017-18 team.
Azar Swain has already set the individual, single-season mark with 87 treys.

Â
SCOUTING DARTMOUTH
Â
The Big Green (12-15, 5-7 Ivy) has won two straight games and five of its last six. Dartmouth earned its first road weekend sweep in five years by beating Cornell last Friday and Columbia last Saturday. Chris Knight, who was named the Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday, has posted a double-double in four of the last five games. Knight leads the team in scoring at 14.6 ppg. The Big Green lead the Ivy League in scoring defense (61.7 ppg.).

SCOUTING HARVARD
Â
The Crimson (20-7, 9-3 Ivy) host Brown on Friday. Harvard has won six straight games, including a road sweep of Columbia and Cornell last weekend. Like Yale, the Crimson clinched a spot in the Ivy League Tournament last weekend. Harvard enters this week's action as one of 15 teams that are undefeated at home this season (through March 2). Harvard is 10-0 at Lavietes Pavilion and, dating to last year, has won 12 straight at home, which is the 17th-longest streak in Division I. Noah Kirkwood leads the Crimson in scoring at 12.0 ppg.
