NEW HAVEN, Conn
. – Three Bulldogs who enjoyed very strong seasons have been honored with team awards.
Senior
Dylan King was awarded the James A. Hutchinson Award, which is given to the member of the team who, during the year by sportsmanship and cooperative spirit, has done the most for tennis at Yale. As captain, King led by example throughout the season in practice, competition and off the court. This season, he recorded a 9-6 record in singles and a 10-6 mark in doubles. He finishes his career at Yale with a 73-43 record in singles and 66-44 in doubles, while earning two All-Ivy Second Team selections in singles (2017, 2019).
Junior
Cody Lin received the George A. Phelps Memorial Award, which honors the member of the team who has shown the greatest improvement during the year. He led the team in both singles and doubles wins, with a 14-6 mark in singles and a 13-9 record in doubles.
Senior
Ryan Cheng was the recipient of the Stuart D. Ludlum Jr. '62 Memorial Award, which is given to the player who exhibits the qualities of enthusiasm, perseverance, and team spirit. Cheng battled injuries throughout his career, but he persevered and was a vocal leader for the team on and off the court.
