Lukas Promoted to Associate AD for Advancement & External Partnerships

Lukas to oversee entire Yale Athletics development operation

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Yale University Athletics announced the promotion of Scott Lukas to Associate Athletic Director for Advancement & External Partnerships. Lukas has been a member of the Bulldog advancement  team since March of 2017.
 
Lukas will now oversee the entire athletics advancement operation, and all external partnerships. He will serve as the Chief Development Officer for athletics and will lead all of Yale's 18 sport associations.
 
"Scott has played an integral role in the athletic department's most successful fundraising efforts. He truly understands and believes in our athletics mission at Yale," said Victoria M. "Vicky" Chun, Thomas A. Beckett Director of Athletics. "Scott has earned this promotion and I'm excited for him to lead our advancement and corporate sponsorship division to even greater heights."
 
Lukas joined Yale as an Assistant Athletic Director for Advancement in 2017 and was promoted in 2019 to Associate Athletic Director, where he was directly responsible for the fundraising and alumni relations of the football, basketball, hockey, baseball, soccer & sailing programs.

Prior to Yale, Lukas served as an Assistant Athletic Director at Wesleyan University. His primary function was to assist the Athletic Director in the day-to-day operational, facilities management, and capital projects aspects of the athletic department.
 
Lukas was the Director of Football Operations and Recruiting Coordinator at Harvard University from 2011-15. During that time, Lukas administered the day-to-day operations for the Harvard Football program. Lukas also served as the program's recruiting coordinator and alumni relations coordinator. Prior to Harvard, he served as the Director of Football Operations at the University of New Hampshire from 2010-11.
 
The Connecticut native earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Saint Anselm College in 2009 while serving as the football team manager and is currently pursuing his Master's Degree at Northwestern University.
 
Lukas resides in Wethersfield, Conn., with his wife, Elizabeth, and son, Marshall.
