NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Yale's defense has been pretty stingy of late. The Bulldogs have yielded one goal or less in six of their last seven games, including Tuesday's 1-1 draw with No. 4 New Hampshire. That defense will get a big test when No. 19 Cornell visits Reese Stadium on Saturday. The Big Red has the top scoring offense in the nation (3.0 goals per game) and also averages a nation best 8.70 shots on goal per game. Kickoff at Reese Stadium is slated for 4 p.m.
Here are notes on another important Ivy League match:
* The Bulldogs (4-4-3) are coming off Tuesday's draw with New Hampshire, which was No. 2 in the first national RPI. Yale, which scored the tying goal late in the second half, outshot the Wildcats 4-3 in the two overtime periods and had the better of the play for portions of the game.

Paolo Carroll was the goal scorer for the Bulldogs against UNH. He now has three goals in his last two games and has seven for the season, which is second in the Ivy League.
* The Bulldogs have not allowed a goal in their first two Ivy League games, a scoreless tie with Harvard and a 2-0 win over Dartmouth.
* Cornell and Princeton (both 2-0) share the Ivy League lead with six points. Yale (1-0-1) trails by two points and Brown is fourth with three points.
* The Bulldogs are unbeaten in their last seven Ivy League games at Reese Stadium, dating back to the 2018 season. Yale has outscored its Ivy opponents 12-3 during the stretch.
* Yale has won the last four meetings with Cornell, including a 3-1 victory in 2019 in a game that was televised nationally on ESPNU.

The Big Red (8-1-1) was ranked No. 13 in the first NCAA Men's Soccer RPI rankings released last Monday, Senior Tyler Bagley is among the most productive offensive players in the nation this season. He leads the country in total points (27) and points per game (2.70), ranks third in goals (10) and 10th in assists (7).
