Kathryn Attar and
Carly Diehl had double-doubles in a five-set loss at Dartmouth on Friday night. The scores of the match were 25-10, 23-25, 25-22, 25-19 and 15-8. With the loss, the Bulldogs fell to 15-7 overall and 8-5 in the Ivy League.
Yale forced a fifth and deciding set with a convincing win in the fourth. Attar and
Mila Yarich delivered back-to-back kills and
Fatima Samb and Diehl combined on blocks to give Yale three straight points and a 21-12 lead.
Attar, who finished with a team-high 16 kills and 23 digs, started the fifth with a kill. Dartmouth scored the next five points and the Big Green held on for the rest of the set
Diehl had a team-high 39 assists to go with 10 digs.
Sam Bray added eight kills and five blocks for the Bulldogs, who will play their final match of the season on Saturday at Harvard in a 5 p.m. start.
