YALE GAME NOTESÂ (PDF)
The No. 9 Yale Women's Hockey Team, looking to extend its four-game win streak, has one of the toughest tests in ECAC Hockey this weekend. The Bulldogs travel to St. Lawrence and No. 7 Clarkson for 6 p.m. and 3 p.m. games on Friday and Saturday that air live on ESPN+.
BULLDOGS
Yale has a win streak that includes outscoring opponents by a combined 22-4. That included consecutive wins against ranked teams and a hot hand from junior forward Claire Dalton, who had six assists in the 8-3 win over Dartmouth and leads the nation in points per game. Classmate Emma Seitz, a blueliner with great offensive skills, succeeded Dalton as conference player of the week after she scored three times and had an assist in last week's sweep of the Big Green and Harvard. The Elis have had strong goaltending from a veteran and a newcomer, but senior Gianna Meloni, the ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week two weeks back, is off to a particularly good start with three shutouts and just two goals allowed in five starts.
SAINTS
St. Lawrence brings a 5-5-3 (2-2 ECAC) record into the weekend at Appleton Arena, coming off a tie and a loss against Mercyhurst. The Saints, currently with a four-game winless span, have goals from 12 different players but no skater has more than four. Lucy Morgan has most of the work in net with a 4-5-3 record and a 1.40 goals against.
KNIGHTS
Clarkson (11-1-2, 4-0) is on a six-game win streak and has three players leading the team with eight goals each. The Knights are coming off a pair of 5-3 wins at Lindenwood (Mo.) last weekend. Michelle Pasiechnyk has the majority of minutes in goal and has a 10-1-2 record and a 1.33 goals against.
