Road Stretch Continues with Visits to QU, Saint Joe’s

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Halfway through a six-game road stretch, the Yale women's basketball team has won two of three games. The Bulldogs look to keep adding to that win total this week, as they head to Quinnipiac (Wednesday, 6:00 p.m., ESPN3, Live Stats) and Saint Joseph's (Saturday, 2:00 p.m., ESPN+, International Stream, Live Stats).

Yale (5-2, 0-0 Ivy League) utilized a 16-2 run at the end of the game to earn a 71-64 win vs. Fairfield at Webster Bank Arena Sunday. The Bulldogs were led by 26 points from junior forward Camilla Emsbo (Lakewood, Colo.), who added 11 rebounds for her seventh double-double in as many games. Emsbo's jumper with 1:09 to play gave Yale the lead for the first time since midway through the second quarter, and the Bulldogs finished off the win by holding Fairfield to an 0-for-4 shooting performance and a turnover in the final 52 seconds.

Emsbo Named Ivy League Player of the Week

Emsbo had 17 points and 10 rebounds in Yale's 57-51 win at BU last Wednesday. She followed that up by tying her season high with 26 points, adding 11 rebounds, in Sunday's 71-64 win at Fairfield. She shot .632 against the Stags. Emsbo now has double-doubles in all seven games this year, and she leads the nation in that category. Her streak of double-doubles is eight, dating back to one she had in the final game of the 2019-20 season. She is eighth in the nation in rebounds per game (11.4) and 18th in the nation in blocked shots (15).
