Bulldogs Welcome Cloe Vecina to Roster

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's basketball program welcomes one incoming transfer for the 2026-27 season, guard Cloe Vecina (Vigo, Spain) from Oregon State. She joins a Yale roster that also includes 13 returnees and five incoming first-years as the Bulldogs enter their fifth season under Dalila Eshe, Yale's Joel E. Smilow, Class of 1954 Head Coach of Women's Basketball.

2025-26 (Sophomore, at Oregon State):
  • Played in 29 games, averaging 9.6 minutes per game off the bench
  • Scored 1.6 points per game and shot 35.3 percent from three, a 24 percent improvement
  • Scored career-high eight points in season opener vs. Corban Nov. 7
  • Career-best five assists to go with seven points in win at San Diego Feb. 26
2024-25 (First-Year, at Oregon State):
  • Played in 21 games, averaging 6.2 minutes per game off the bench
  • Perfect 5-for-5 from free throw line 
  • Scored season-high seven points, including three-pointer and 4-for-4 from the line, in win vs. Western Kentucky Dec. 19
  • Recorded four steals in 16 minutes vs. Northwest Nazarene Nov. 12; one of just six first-years to record four or more takeaways in a game in last 15 years
National Teams: Selected to Spanish U18 team training camp ahead of 2024 U18 Eurobasket tournament; was among final participants competing for roster spot.

Celta Baloncesto Femenino: Played three games with Celta Zorka senior team.        

Notes: Volunteered at orphanage in Dominican Republic for a week in 2025 and 2026; helped build a third floor to enable more children to live there… Enjoys listening to music, reading and watching movies… Loves to travel and learn about different countries and their culture… Both parents played basketball… Father is a basketball coach in her hometown.
