NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The decade included a school-record 17 wins, in 2019-20, and the shattering of school goaltending standards, while the Bulldogs helped produce an Olympian and numerous professional players. Many players and teams contributed to those accomplishments, but a group of individuals stood out for their production over the last 10 years. Here is the Yale Women's Hockey All-Decade Team.
Jackee Snikeris '11 G Downington, Pa.
Snikeris set the Yale career records for save percentage, goals-against average and shutouts and finished with four of the top seven single-season goals-against averages in Yale history. She also had four of the top eight single-season save percentage marks, while her career save percentage of .931 broke the school record in that category by 16 points. Snikeris' career goals-against average of 2.12 broke the school record by nearly half a goal. A first-team All-Ivy League pick, she made 10 saves in one period for an ECAC All-Star team against Team USA. Her 2,092 career saves were fifth on Yale's all-time list.
Bray Ketchum '11 F Greenwich, Conn.
Ketchum, a multiple-year All-Ivy League pick, completed her Yale career among the top 12 in all offensive categories. She was seventh in goals with 41, 11
th in points with 84 and 12
th with 43 assists. The ECAC Hockey All-Academic pick was also a Patty Kazmaier Award nominee who got selected to the ECAC Hockey All-Star team that played an exhibition game vs. Team USA . Ketchum skated for two professional teams, and won two championships, before becoming the GM of the Connecticut Whale.
Phoebe Staenz '17 F Zurich, Switzerland
Staenz is a two-time Olympian for Switzerland who earned All-ECAC Hockey honors after becoming the conference rookie of the year. She finished sixth at Yale with 41 goals while hitting double digits in two seasons. Her 50 assists are seventh, while her 91 points are eighth in the school career record books despite playing just 20 games her first season because of a commitment to Team Switzerland. Staenz was
named national Rookie of the Year by U.S. College Hockey Online and The Hockey Writers, and she was selected to New England Hockey Writers Division I All-Star Team
Krista Yip-Chuck '17 F Whitby, Ont.
Yip-Chuck, the captain of the 2016-17 squad, skated in 117 straight games on her way to 34 goals and 86 points. She is currently 12
th on the school's career points list. Yip-Chuck was ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Month her first year and shared team MVP honors as a senior.
Mallory Souliotis '18 D Acton, Mass.
Souliotis '17, who has played three seasons on the Boston Pride blueline and was the recipient of the 2019 NWHL Foundation Award, notched her name on the Yale Hockey career scoring lists. The blueliner finished third with 58 assists and 15
th with 70 points, while she earned All-Ivy League, All-New England and All-ECAC Hockey honors her senior year
Eden Murray '18 F Medicine Hat, Alta.
Murray scored 25 goals and had 69 points over 97 games played, which includes three goals in seven games during an injury-shortened senior campaign. She tied for the team lead her junior year with nine goals and 27 points. Murray earned All-Ivy League honors as a sophomore while making the Nutmeg Classic All-Tournament Team.
