Two Bulldogs earned singles victories on the opening day of the Orange Lawn Clay Court Collegiate Invitational in South Orange, New Jersey. Yale faced off against Penn, and Shervin Dehmoubed defeated Zach Smith (3-6 7-5 12-10) in a thrilling match and Renaud Lefevre edged Tal Goodman (4-6 6-2 15-13) in an equally exciting match.
 
In doubles, Yale's Robert Shymansky and Lefevre defeated Penn's Zack Lam and Tai Goodman 8-4.
 
The Bulldogs are back in action at the tournament on Saturday when they face Princeton
