HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – The Bulldogs scored three goals on the road last Thursday, but today they ran into one of the nation's best teams and fell 4-0.

The Yale Women's Soccer team faced 27 attempted shots by Hofstra, the No. 12 team in the country, and the visitors had a first-year goalie making her debut for the Elis.

Bulldog goalie Maya Bellomo and her teammates held the Pride to just one tally over the first half while making four saves, but the visitors could not grab any momentum in the last 45 against a squad that has won seven of its eight games this fall.

Yale next plays at UMass on Wednesday afternoon at 1.
