UConn had shown a very stingy defense early in the 2021 season, allowing just one goal in its first three games. On Tuesday night against Yale, the Huskies had their offense going in full gear as well. Jayden Reid scored and added two assists as UConn blanked the Bulldogs 4-0 at Morrone Stadium in Storrs.

The Huskies (3-1) scored twice in each half to earn the victory.
Â
All four of UConn's goals were well executed.
"This is a tough one to swallow tonight, but UConn played well and were clinical with their chances," said
Kylie Stannard, the 5K Corral Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "We felt we had the better of the game before [UConn] scored, and we need to be able to respond better after giving up the first goal. These are great moments for learning and growth, and especially with such a young team."
Dominic Laws opened the scoring at 32:24 with a blast into the top left corner.
Â
Less than six minutes later, Scott Testori scored to give the Huskies a 2-0 lead.
Â
It stayed that way until midway through the second half when Reid scored his first goal of the season.
Â
Giancarlo Vaccaro capped the scoring at 80:43
Â
The Bulldogs have the weekend off before hosting Boston College next Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Reese Stadium. The two teams last met in the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
"We have a little time to recover and prepare for another great opportunity next week," Stannard said.
