NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's soccer team has made Reese Stadium a very difficult place for opponents to play. The Bulldogs have won their last 10 games at home dating back to the 2018 season. Yale has four of its next six games in the friendly confines of Reese, starting with a visit from UMass on Tuesday night. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. and the game will be televised on NESN+ in addition to airing on ESPN+
Here are notes on the matchup between two very successful New England programs:
* UMass is a perfect 4-0 on the road this season.
* Yale's last loss at home came to Columbia on Oct. 27, 2018.
* The Bulldogs have outscored their opponents 6-1 in two games at Reese this season.
* UMass is playing in New Haven for the first time since 1988. The Bulldogs have won five of the last six meetings between the teams, including a 1-0 overtime victory in 2019 in Amherst.
Jake Schaffer assisted on Miguel Yuste's game-winning goal, while
Elian Haddock made two saves to post the shutout in goal.

Paolo Carroll is tied for second in the Ivy League with four goals and is third in the league with 10 points. Two of Carroll's three goals have been game-winners, including in last Tuesday's win over Boston College.
* The Bulldogs, the defending Ivy League champions, open defense of their title when they host Harvard on Saturday at 7 p.m.
SCOUTING UMASS
The Minutemen (6-2-1) have won three of their last four games, including a 2-1 victory at Saint Joseph's on Saturday. UMass also has a 2-1 win over Dartmouth on its resume. Ghidini Begliardi leads the team with five goals. The Minutemen finished No. 31 in the final RPI and played in the NCAA Tournament last spring.
