NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 10 Yale Women's Ice Hockey Team, has a mid-week matinee for its first home game in 2022. The Bulldogs host Sacred Heart at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Ingalls Rink in a game airing live on ESPN+ and internationally on Stretch Internet.
LAST MEETINGS
Yale has two wins over the Pioneers this season, 7-0 and 4-1. The first was at Sacred Heart in Yale's second game of the year, while the last came on the second day of the Nutmeg Classic on Thanksgiving Weekend.
BULLDOGS
Yale (11-4-1) is coming off a conference road split with Dartmouth and Harvard last weekend. Four Bulldogs scored goals in a 4-2 win at Hanover on Friday, but the Elis managed just one tally (
Charlotte Welch) the next afternoon at Boston in a 3-1 loss.
Gianna Meloni was in net both games for the Elis.
PIONEERS
Sacred Heart, which is 10-7-1, 5-2-1 in the NEWHA, has had four straight postponed games. Between holidays and cancelations, they have not played since early December. Senior forward Anna Klein leads the team with 12 goals and 25 points, while senior Frankie Sanchez (2.35 GAA) has seven wins in net.
