Undefeated Bulldogs Set for Philadelphia Invitational

Six bouts on tap, including four vs. nationally ranked opponents

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's fencing team puts its undefeated record on the line against some very difficult competition at the Philadelphia Invitational on Sunday. The Bulldogs (6-0) are set to fence six bouts, including four against nationally ranked opponents..
 
First up at 8:30 a.m. is Notre Dame, ranked No. 1 in the United States Fencing Coaches Association poll. The Irish, who compete on Saturday at the St. John's Invitational, are 16-0 on the season. The Bulldogs, who received votes in the USFCA poll, also face No. 3 Princeton, No. 6 Northwestern and No. 8 Temple.
 
Yale's trip to the Penn State Dual Series last weekend was canceled, so the Bulldogs haven't competed since the Brandeis Invitational on Dec. 5.
 
Next up is the Ivy League Round Robin on Feb. 12-13 at Brown.

11 a.m. – vs. No. 8 Temple
