NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale Men's Ice Hockey Team is unbeaten in three straight as it prepares for this weekend's CT Ice at Webster Bank Arena. The Bulldogs, coming off a conference road sweep, take on UConn Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the first semifinal airing live on SNY.
Â
CT ICE ON SNY
Bulldogs and Huskies will be barking in Bridgeport during the first semifinal with UConn serving as the home team, while Sacred Heart (9-11-3, 7-8-2 AHA), the winner of the inaugural event in 2020, is the home team in the second contest against No. 2 Quinnipiac (18-2-3, 9-1-1 ECAC). The third-place game is 1 p.m. on Sunday followed by a 4:30 finale. All four games air live on SNY with Wayne Randazzo and former Boston Bruins goalie Andrew Raycroft calling the action in the second CT Ice.
SERIES
The Elis have taken 14 of the 15 meetings with UConn since the first during the 1971-72 season. The first UConn win (3-1) came on New Year's Eve of 2019 at Ingalls Rink, while the last Yale win was a 3-2 game at the 2020 CT Ice consolation game. One of Yale's wins over the Huskies was a 6-3 decision at Belfast, Ireland, in 2018 at the Friendship Four. Yale has won six of the eight meetings with SHU since the first meeting in 2009, but the Pioneers won the 2020 CT Ice matchup. Quinnipiac holds a 24-7-5 advantage (since 2006) over the Elis.
Â
LAST MEETINGS
Justin Pearson had a goal in the 3-2 win over UConn at CT Ice in January of 2020. The Elis were outshot 44-24 but made their shots count.

Teddy Wooding, who had two goals last weekend, notched the OT winner against the Dutchmen while
Luke Pearson picked up his first collegiate victory in net. Other goals came from
Reilly Connors and
