NEW HAVEN, Conn. – They were looking for redemption following a loss at Providence on Friday in the first of the home-and-home series with their ECAC travel partner.
That's exactly what the No. 7 Yale Women's Ice Hockey Team delivered today in a 5-1 win over Brown.

Anna Bargman each had a goal and an assist as the home team pumped 45 shots on target to notch its 16
th win of the season, one shy of equaling the program record.
Senior
Maya Kerfoot scored her first career goal to get the Elis on the board first in the opening frame.
"Really excited to score a goal for our team," said Kerfoot, who flicked a wrist shot top shelf from the left circle. "It feels good to get the win today. We knew we had a lot more to offer than we showed on Friday."
Mark Bolding, Yale's Susan Cavanagh Head Coach, recognized the tally that got his team started.
"Scoring first was huge, and that was a really nice play by Kerfoot," said Bolding, who is now one victory shy of his 300
th.
Another newcomer,
Pia Dukaric, earned the win in net with 11 saves. "Pia was really steady and gave us confidence," said Bolding.
Yale, which hits the road this weekend to face Union and RPI, held the Bears to just a dozen shots on goal. Brown's one goal came on a power play in the middle frame.
"Bounce back game for us," said Bolding. "We worked tremendously hard and that was a key. They put in the work today and we were prepared. Nice to see some rewards for the efforts."
