The Yale women's soccer team returns to Reese Stadium to host Sacred Heart on Wednesday, Oct. 12. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. in New Haven and the contest will be live on ESPN+ and for international viewing on Stretch Internet.
The Bulldogs (4-5-2, 1-1-1 Ivy) are coming off a hard-fought road draw against Dartmouth on Oct. 8.
Marisa Shorrock was a solid presence in goal with five saves, while five different players had at least two shots. As a team, Yale topped its season-high in shots with 25 and shots on goal with 15.Â

Last Meeting with Sacred Heart
The Bulldogs are 4-1 in their last five outings with the Pioneers. In their last meeting against one another, Sacred Heart captured the 2-0 victory at Reese Stadium on Oct. 24, 2018.
Scouting the Pioneers
- Sacred Heart enters Wednesday match with a 7-4-3 overall record and has fared well in conference play with a 3-1-2 NEC record.
- The Pioneers are coming off a 1-0 road loss to Farleigh Dickinson University on Oct. 9.
- A player to watch for the Big Red will be Gracie O'Hara. Despite not scoring in their last outing, O'Hara has five goals in the three prior games, including a hat trick in a 5-2 victory over Howard on Oct. 2.
- Both Morgan Bovardi (5 goals, 2 assists) and Desiree Crawford (4 goals, 2 assists) have also been solid contributors for SHU.
- In between the pipes, Elyssa Kipperman has started and played the full 90 in all 14 games for Sacred Heart this season. Kipperman has posted seven shutouts in that time and has 63 saves.
