NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Bulldogs served up nine aces before a raucous home crowd in a 3-0 sweep of Princeton on Friday night at the John J. Lee Amphitheater. The scores of the match were 25-21, 25-12 and 25-16.
Carly Diehl had 25 assists, eight digs and an ace for the Bulldogs, who won their 12th straight match and improved to 14-1 on the season.Â

Cara Shultz had two aces apiece to lift Yale to a 6-0 start in Ivy play.Â
"I thought we played real well tonight in front of a great crowd," Yale head coach
Erin Appleman said. "Carly ran a great offense and we passed the ball very well."
In a meeting of two 5-0 teams in conference play, the Bulldogs took control in the first set and never let up.Â
Audrey Leak led a balanced Yale attack with nine kills,
Gigi Barr added seven and Yarich had six.Â
Leak led the way in the first set with four kills and Yale used four aces to take the first set. With Yale up 21-20,
Fatima Samb and Shultz went back to back with kills and forced a Princeton timeout. Out of the break, Yarich delivered an ace to put the Bulldogs at set point.
Yale dominated the second set with a 6-0 edge in aces and seven kills from Leak. Kills from Samb (four kills and one block) and Shultz, and blocks from Barr and Leak capped a 5-0 run to give the Bulldogs a 17-10 lead.Â
The Bulldogs upped their lead to 24-11 after a kill from Somera, who also had a team-high 10 digs. Two points later, Barr closed out the set with a blistering attack down the sideline.Â
In the third, Leak opened the set with a kill. Shutlz and Samb followed with a block and the Bulldogs were off and running in a set they led the entire way. Yale led 5-0, and extended the lead to 11-3 after an attack error.
The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow to host Penn at 5 p.m.Â
