HANOVER, N.H. – A pair of Bulldogs advanced to the ITA Super Regionals with victories in the finals at the ITA Northeast Regionals at Dartmouth.
Vivian Cheng posted a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Brown's Sophia Edwards, while
Ann Wright Guerry split the first two sets with Boston College's Addie Ahlstrom before winning the super tie breaker 10-5.
Three other Bulldogs reached the final but fell on Sunday –
Sophia Zaslow, Rhea Shrivastava and
Sasha Wood.
Chelsea Kung, the reigning Ivy League Player of the Year, had already earned a bid to the Super Regionals. She and Cheng, her doubles partner, also were already selected to the Super Regionals.
Yale will host the ITA Super Regionals the weekend of Oct. 21 at the Cullman Heyman Tennis Center.
On Monday, Kung will start qualifying play in singles at the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C.
