NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Second-seeded Chelsea Kung is off to a strong start at the ITA Super Regionals on the Yale Outdoor Courts. Kung cruised to a pair of straight-set victories to advance to the quarterfinals.
 
Kung defeated Mouna Bouzgarrou of St. John's 6-1, 6-2 and then beat Syracuse's Shiori Ito 6-1, 6-3 in the round of 16.
 
Ann Wright Guerry won her first match, beating Columbia's Sophia Wang 6-3, 6-1, but then fell in the round of 16.
 
Sophia Zaslow and Rhea Shrivastava both lost their first matches but won in the back draw.
 
The Super Regionals continues at Yale on Saturday.
