How It Happened
- The Crimson had a massive scoring opportunity in the 14th minute, but senior goalkeeper Elian Haddock made the leaping save. After Harvard's early chance, it became all Yale for the remainder of the half as the Bulldogs outshot the Crimson, 9-3.
- Yale broke the deadlock in the 40th minute as Max Rogers sent a ball in off the corner to Eric Lagos for the rising-header finish.
- The second half was a frenzy of action. In the 47th minute, Sigfus Arnason was taken down in the box and Yale was awarded a penalty kick. Paolo Carroll ripped a shot at Harvard's Oscar Nilsson who made the initial stop and the follow up.
- Harvard netted the equalizer in the 75th minute with an almost identical goal to that of Yale's first-half strike on a corner.
- With 26 seconds remaining and a corner called for Yale, the Bulldogs pushed their players up field. A few bounces landed away from the box and at the feet of Harvard's Ale Gutierrez, who popped it up to Alessandro Arlotti. Catching the Bulldogs off-guard, Arlotti and Gutierrez made the sprinting run up the field for a 2-v-1 for the Crimson. Arlotti slotted it over to Gutierrez for the finish and the eventual game-winner.
