NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale doubles team of
Chelsea Kung and
Vivian Cheng saw their run at the ITA Super Regionals come to an end in the quarterfinals. The two dropped a heartbreaker, losing a super tiebreaker to the Syracuse duo of Miyuka Kimoto and Polina Kozyreva.
Kung and Cheng dominated the opening set, winning 6-0. The second set was decided in a tie breaker with Kimoto and Kozyreva winning 7-4. The Syracuse team then won the super tiebreaker 10-3.
The ITA Super Regionals at Yale wrap up on Monday with the singles and doubles finals.
