The Yale men's hockey team will begin the 2022-23 season with a home-and-home series against Brown. This will be the fifth-straight campaign the Bulldogs open the season against the Bears. On Saturday, Oct. 29, the Bulldogs welcome the Bears to Ingalls Rink for their home—and season-opener. Then on Sunday, the Bulldogs head to Rhode Island to cap the series. Both contests will be live on ESPN+ and available for international viewing on Stretch Internet.

Bulldog Bytes
- The Bulldogs return all three goalies who saw time last season. Nathan Reid, who started 17 games last season, made 445 saves, and had a .901 save percentage. Luke Pearson, who started eight games, made 229 saves, and had a .916 save percentage. Connor Hopkins started five games, made 100 saves, and had a .870 save percentage.
- Ian Carpentier, Teddy Wooding, and William Dineen, who are all returning, were the Bulldogs' top three scorers in 2021-22. Carpentier led the team with eight goals—including two game-winners, and had five assists, while clocking 41 shots. Wooding notched six goals—including two game-winners, and had four assists, while William Dineen had five goals—four of which were on the powerplay—and had four assists. Dineen led the team in shots with 51.
Last Meeting with Brown
The Bears took the first meeting in Yale's season opener on Oct. 30, 2021, 2-0, but the Bulldogs took the second showing with a 4-3 battle on Dec. 10, 2021. Yale received goals from

Ryan Stevens, and Graham Lillibridge.
Nathan Reid made 23 saves in the win.
Scouting the Bears
- The Bears (0-0-0, 0-0-0 ECAC) will play their first game of the season when they take on the Bulldogs at Ingalls.
- Brown graduated their offensive power from just a season ago as the trio consisting of Tristan Crozier, Justin Jallen, and Michael Maloney combined for 26 goals in 2021-22.
- On the defensive end, Brown returns eight defensemen from last season. Luke Krys returns this after leading the NCAA in blocked shots per game.
- Sophomore goaltender Mathieu Caron posted a 2.74 goals against average and a .911 save percentage in 24 starts last season, while also starting 14 games.
Looking Ahead
Following the weekend matchups against Harvard and Dartmouth, the Bulldogs are set to host No. 7 Quinnipiac for their home opener on Friday, Nov. 4 at Ingalls.
