The Yale men's hockey team will play both of its games with week on the road, and both in conference play. On Friday night, the Bulldogs will head to New Hampshire to face Dartmouth. Then on Saturday, the Elis will take a trip to Boston to face rival Harvard. Both contests will be live on ESPN+ and available for international viewing on Stretch Internet.
 
Bulldog Bytes
  • The Bulldogs split their opening weekend series with Brown. On Saturday, they took a 2-0 victory over the Bears, before falling on Sunday, 2-1.
  • Three players had two multi-point games this past weekend. Briggs Gammill picked up a goal and an assist with level plus/minus rating. Connor Sullivan had a goal, the first of his career, an assist, and a plus-one rating. First year David Chen picked up a pair of assists, which were his first collegiate points.
  • Nathan Reid started both games for the Bulldogs in the home-and-home showing. Reid ended the weekend with a .961 save percentage and posted a shutout in the opening night game on Saturday.
  • Niklas Allain picked up the Bulldogs' first goal of the season with a powerplay tally, which ended up being the game-winner.
  • William Dineen has a 53.3% faceoff win percentage through the first two games.

Last Meeting with Dartmouth
Despite launching 37 shots on net, the Bulldogs fell to the Big Green, 1-0, on Feb. 12, 2022. Luke Pearson made 14 stops in goal.

Scouting the Big Green
  • Dartmouth (0-2-0, 0-1-0 ECAC) started the season with a 5-2 loss to No. 14 Harvard on the road. After going up 2-0 in the first period, the Big Green allowed five-straight goals from the Crimson, including a shorthanded goal and a powerplay goal. Dartmouth's goalie Cooper Black made 42 saves in the loss.
  • The Big Green's second game of the season saw them drop an 8-3 decision in non-conference action to Army.
  • Cooper Flint has points in both games of the season and leads the team in shots with six.

Last Meeting with Harvard
The Crimson took that last meeting, 2-0, on Feb. 11, 2022. Nathan Reid made 36 stops in goal.

Scouting the Crimson
  • Harvard (2-0-0, 2-0-0 ECAC) has taken victories in its first two games of the season, while outscoring opponents, 9-4.
  • Their most recent victory was a 4-2 victory over Princeton, while their first of the season was a 5-2 win over Dartmouth.
  • Alex Laferriere has the hot stick through those two tilts with a team-leading four points from two goals, including a game-winner, and two assists. The junior has a plus-two rating and launched 12 shots on net.
  • Another offensive force for the Crimson has been Matthew Coronato, who has three goals, including a game-winner, 10 shots, and a plus-two rating.
  • The Crimson have had two different netminders in goal through the first two games. Mitchell Gibson took the first victory against Dartmouth with 17 saves and a .895 save percentage, while Derek Mullahy took the win over Princeton with 19 saves and a .905 save percentage.

Looking Ahead
Following this weekend's tilts, the Bulldogs return home to host Princeton and No. 7 Quinnipiac on Nov. 11 and Nov. 12, respectively.
