NEW HAVEN, Conn. –Sophomore goalie
Nathan Reid stopped 29 shots and
Reilly Connors scored his third goal of the year, but the Yale Men's Hockey Team fell in overtime to St. Lawrence, 2-1, at Ingalls Rink.
Connors, a sophomore winger, scored on a wrister from the right circle that sailed over the right shoulder of the Saints' goalie at 4:22 of the second period to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead.
That margin, which survived a five-minute penalty kill, including two minutes of 5-on-3, stood until there was 6:23 left in regulation. The visitors then won the game 3:55 into OT on a shot from the left circle.
The Elis, who blocked 10 shots, are back at the Whale Saturday night to host No. 20 Clarkson, a 5-0 winner over Brown tonight.
