BEIJING, China – Two Bulldogs are playing for Team USA, which opens men's hockey play with China on Thursday, Feb. 10, at 8:10 a.m. ET, at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
Brian O'Neill '12 and
Kenny Agostino '14, a pair of the KHL's top-scoring forwards, are hoping to earn medals.
After facing the host country in a game that airs live on USA Network, nbcolympics.com and the Peacock Network, the U.S. takes on Canada on Friday, Feb. 11, at 11:10 p.m. ET on the same channels. Both of those games will be played at the National Indoor Stadium.
Team USA, with a roster comprised of professionals and collegians, closes group play with Germany on Sunday, Feb. 13, at 8:10 a.m. ET.
The two Bulldogs, who have combined for 29 goals and 82 points in the KHL this winter for different teams, will sport different uniform numbers than their Yale days. Agostino (18 at Yale) is wearing No. 11 for Team USA, while O'Neill (9), who enters his second straight Olympic competition, has No. 21 on his back.
